Why useless? It's an interesting innovation, that might yield many computer interface improvements when application writers learn about the possibilities of this keyboard.

Also, right now they're just making it look and feel like a current keyboard. I'm thinking about what they'll come up with when they start to actually invent new stuff using this method.

As far as gaming is concerned at least, this is *way* overdue. We've had analog buttons on gamepads for years now, no reason why it shouldn't be implemented for keyboards as well. Just as long as they remain as durable as they are now anyway.
