Besides, that was the funnest part of the game. I sure as hell wouldn't want to skip it. But upvote for sheer skill.

I think the purported difference between an exploit and a cheat is that an "exploit" is something that abuses the game's own behavior, in this case the way the game handles collisions with held objects and the wall while jumping, while a cheat would be something that is outside of the standard gameplay mechanics, e.g.: a code that allows you to pass through walls uninhibited or an external program that aims for you.
Personally, I do think the way the final room is handled in "8 Portals" is more impressive, since the runner manages to get enough velocity to skip one of the platforms entirely.
