As much as he does look like a living skeleton in the images and to a lesser extent in the video... he is wonderful to listen to, a great talk.

He is indeed very engaging. I like his problem-solving example in the end. A definite upvote.

(And yes, the screenshot makes him look quite creepy.)

I think that is the first guy I have ever fully perceived as having been made up to look like a zombie, and then realized it was just the way he looks.

I felt he was taking a long time to make a point. And the point that he makes about giving problem solving more weight in regard to avoidance/prevention is interesting and contentious. I wish he has started earlier on that point and talked more about it.

Deano,

Yeah, I didn't think the point he finally made (problem fixing vs. problem preventing) really followed from his talk. I would have loved to hear more on that. Still really engaging and interesting though.

Oops... dupe.

Guess I missed it first time around. Mauz15 submitted both times too. Double-dipper! ;-)

hmmm..... I say we leave this until it expires from the top 15 vids, then discard.

Personally I think that it deserves the views that a top 15 vid will recieve.

Great lecture. But... I couldn't believe that he said intergalactic space can host human life. (thats de facto what he said) I mean, that's utterly and unashamedly a-historical thinking. Creating an "open-ended stream of knowledge" in space? Err, don't we first need life for that, or a friendly enviroment or sumthin'?
