Peter Schiff vs Ben Stein and random idiots 8/18/07

From YT: Peter Schiff tries to tell the world to stay away from financials because they are toxic. He gets beaten down like the red headed step child.

I'll tell you, shuac, even if they DID watch these videos (and I doubt that they would), they would fail to see how wrong they are. Rather, they would hem and haw about how things have changed since then, and the reasons and explanations were unfounded, blah blah blah.

It's like how, as a hypnotist, I can meet someone who is convinced that they can not be put into a trance. Then I can put them on video going into a trance, bring them out of trance, and show them the video. What happens? They say, it's "someone else" or they go into a trance while watching it and refuse to admit that they saw what they saw. The human ability to delude oneself is LIMITLESS.

Newmont Mining

8/18/2007 - NEM 39.89
1/15/2008 - NEM 56.12
10/27/2008- NEM 21.54
12/4/2008 - NEM 29.71 (-26%) Went up a bit, but couldn't hold it in this economy.

Goldman Sachs

8/18/2007 - GS 175.00
10/31/2007- GS 247.92
12/4/2008 - GS 67.53 (-61%) Nice bump right after her prediction, but tanked later.

Financials were obviously the worst, but gold did not do as well as Schiff has hoped. At least not for that mining company.
