A large number of musicians, including David Bowie, Emmylou Harris, Suzanne Vega, Elton John, Dr. John, Bono, Tom Jones and Lou Reed got together in 1997 for this cover. It was later released as a charity singel for Children in Need, and helped raise over 2 million pounds.
