Non-energy corporations are waking up to the fact that once initial investment capital has been paid off from an economical energy source, the fuel for the energy thereafter is 100% free, and virtually unlimited, with extremly low maintenance and upkeep costs. Long term, switching over is far cheaper than keeping the status quo.
So to all those asswipes who think we have no control over global warming, who have no idea about the physics thats seated behind the theory of global warming (which by the way, in scientific nomenclature, a 'theory' is the highest level of prestige awarded to human understanding, theories explain facts under observable and crucifiable situations), who have had no formal education in even physics 101 where thermal dynamics is taught, who have never read a book in their lives, and have a slippery, astro-glide encased grasp on any concept of economics, I give you, a big shut the fuck up, sit down, and accept that renewables are the way of the future, wether you fucking like it or not.
So sick and tired of these stall tactics that are continually pushed in the face of humanity for no other reason than to promote corporate greed, all at the expense of the humanity they sell their shit to.

To appeal to the corporate, democratic, industrialised capitalists out there still on the fence about global warming and our need to act or not. Put the whole debate out of your head, and think from your hip-pocket.
Imagine a world where the energy required to run everything in your house, is literally, free.
It is uninterrupted, enviornmentally friendly, unlimited, free energy.
From a business point of view, even if this energy, after investment capital was paid off (read: wind, concentrated solar thermal, geo-thermal or wave power), was sold for 3c/kwHr, you would still be making a huge proffit. And, worst case scenario on maintaining status quo, you would be save near total annihilation of the human race.
There is no sane argument against going to electrical cars, powered up by a grid that sources it energy from 100% renewable and sustainable energy, anyone who claims otherwise is a fruitcake.
Whos to say we cant get a gasolene smelling air-freshner at the car wash?
The sound ? Welll....stiff luck, brushless DC motors arnt renowned for their gravitass bass producing rythmic sound, and carbon based fuels are limited, even the cleanest of the lot.
The planet's ebb and flow of climate phenom, has been weathered with and without humans for eons, along with her core belching gas and acid. Humans have more to worry about with the vortice of geopolitics than they do the earth cooling down....because solar cycles are the cause and effect primarily, for atmospheric changes...w/ the dance of oceans and core....

If you watch the doc, you can clearly see there is an industry...the richest industry in the world that is using its extreme wealth to not make our planet a better place to live, and democracies should use their power of the people to fight these types of businesses. Maybe I would forgive Exxon for their years of damaging the earth if they started committing cleaner and maybe renewable energies, sure they wont make billions and billions every year, but what the hell are they doing with the billions and billions they already make? Buying yachts? bribing the Media? funding hack scientists.
Global Warming has been chewed up and spit out by the MSM, but its time for people to start thinking for themselves, the actions of these liars who are profiting from the literal destruction of the planet needs to be dealt with. The science is in. Spewing pollution into air is warming up the planet and already making it very unlivable (ever spent a summer in Toronto? Try Bejing!) That warmth is causing climates all over the earth to act wacky...It wont kill our planet, but it could certainly make the world a much less pleasant place for humans and animals to live (although in some places its not really pleasant right now.)
I don't mean to be an alarmist, but I grew up learning about the environment, we learnt about Global Warming in grade school back in the 80s. At that time we were under the impression that "adults" were taking care of it by recycling and composting. Then Canada starts profiting from the oil sands and our Global warming priorities are suddenly lined up with America...Where "The Jury is still out." - Understand our PM is loyal to Bush, but our PM cuts taxes and thats why people like him, don't worry about the 2500 troops euchred in Ghanistan. I avoid linear discussions of facts for facts sake, they tend to leave out the other dimensions at work in humans namely, the spiritual......
What do you get when you successfully dupe the so called enlightened of the world, into pretending to care, to want the death of the beast, and at the same time continue to play the game that feeds each head of the hydra?
You get a world that you must navigate in a type of survival mode, for the sake of your own well-being, the well-being of your immediate personal circle, with a view to riding out the storm with a modicum of comfort, until the shit hits the singularity fan.
We are too far down the path....the path of having been led by, fed by, and bled by, the current economic and geopolitical paradigm....it must die before the planet can heal-but that too, is a double-edged sword....remember when Rome bit the big one??? We went from indoor plumbing to shitting outside in the same water we use to drink. A looooooot of sentients are going to have to die before the shit stops.....
And if all the cars and factories shut down TODAY....the ice caps would still do what they do, and the species that are to leave, will leave, etc....all is as it should be-
So Greenpeace??? Next time you plan an ineffectual protest, destroy a supertanker instead of bouncing off it in a raft......and do it in dry dock, ya goddamn hippies, so you won't have to bath seagulls all summer...
