James is right, this is one of the least messed-up parts of this film. Visually, it's gross, but psychologically it has nothing on some of the other scenes.

It's a good film, but I defy anyone to watch it and not feel queasy about what they've just seen.

dag: Unfortunately, answering your question would spoil the plot for those who have not seen Old Boy and were not too off-put by this clip.

haggis: IMHO, Old Boy was a well-balanced film and did not leave me feeling too queasy. On the other hand, I literally fainted 15 minutes into watching Ichi the Killer (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0296042/).
