A pathetic example of it too, considering that neither Ayers nor Wright are anti-American, or fringe.
Ayers is now a Distinguished Professor at University of Illinois, and while the Weather Underground was violent, they were anti-Vietnam War, not anti-America. Also, his relationship with Obama is tenuous at best -- they both were on the board of a charity for a period of a year, and only met face to face a handful of times (this during Ayers' tenure as a University Professor, btw).
Reverend Wright, should you care to investigate it, is a mainstream preacher, a former Marine, and holds several advanced degrees. Watch this interview before you judge.
