that's a great comparison, man. holy shit, you hit the nail on the head. Iraq is EXACTLY like germany 1943. And the Allies in WWII also had completely incompetent planning and hordes of mercenaries stuck in the middle of a civil war of their own creation. Wow, you're a freaking genius.

The level of incompetence on display here is utterly staggering.

I also find it amazing that you can recognize Bush/Cheney cronies by the fact that they either refuse to be interviewed or are completely incapable of answering a question with a straight, coherent, honest reply. The other hallmark of these creatures is the inability to admit even the most obvious of mistakes - even things that are shown to be such in 20/20 hindsight. And this is true across the board - not just in this example.

there's not one mention of 'why' certain decisions have been made, no talk of the oil, no theory of purposeful chaos. there's something very naive about this, it's almost like it's made for people that can't change their mindset away from the propaganda that we're dealt. we didn't go there to help them, we went there to pillage.

i heard the other day that america stands to make 30 trillion dollars out of the oil there, so in these monetary terms it will be worth it - but this war may be detrimental to america in the long run. plus the future wars on other countries the U.s is planning, nobody can tell how this will all pan out in the end.

Unbeleivable.

Noone is horrified by this quagmire because it's "so tough". We are embarassed and, frankly, pissed-off because it is illegal, immoral, and an enormous lie that has lead to deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, drained our national treasure, lit the middle east on fire, and shredded our constitution in the process.

It will take generations to correct the grotesque path that your elected officials have taken the entire world on, all so meatheads like "davido53" can see dead Iraqi children on their teevee's.
