Nick Drake - "Black Eyed Dog"

"'Black Eyed Dog' from one of Drake's final recording sessions in February, 1974. The title was inspired by Winston Churchill's description of depression as a black dog." [wikip.]

This simple piece of music is one of the most haunting and resonant songs I've ever heard. If you've ever had depression, or even melancholy, you'll recognize the feeling it evokes. I have a very good friend who struggles with depression, so this goes out to that friend. Remember that there's beauty even in darkness.
