... I feel dumb not realizing the point made at 4:40, about a subject again mentioned in the State of the Union;

The President says we are at risk of terrorist attacks if they can't tap phones, but will veto a wire-tapping bill that doesn't give lawsuit immunity to phone companies... but by his argument, his veto would risk a terrorist attack to save phone companies from potential lawsuits. What an asshole.

You know my dad mentioned something interesting to me the other day. He said "The world isnt getting shittier, people are just paying more attention. You think this administration is bad? Every administration has been on the same level. Thanks to media, quick access, and world communications we can hear about Putin's 2nd cousin's dog biting someone in the wastelands of Russia just moments after it happens. The coverage is the only thing thats changed, its just the administrations havent adapted well to being more subtle cause back in the day they didnt have to be". I thought it was an interesting point that maybe Bush and his cronies arent that bad in relative terms to past administrations. If we had the internet and all the things we have today back when Nixon, hell even Andrew Jackson was president just imagine how much more bullshit was going on behind the scenes that we never realized until now.

And here in Germany people get angry because no one does anything about new laws that are absolutely pointless and still destroy peoples existences.
In the USA people die all day long because of lies and bullshit by politicians, and no one does anything about that either...

Watch the documentary "The Century of Self". They have effectively created a society that is self absorbed, terribly in debt, and constantly in need of entertainment, not to mention complacent and lazy. The sad truth, it seems, is that people have forgotten that this country belongs to the people. We just sit back and make the excuse that we just don't have any say or control over this crap. Otherwise people would have to get off their fat arses and take action. This would take effort working towards something without immediate results and we're not used to that. We're all like deer blinded by the oncoming headlights, frozen. Take America back Americans! WTF!
