Yeah...unfortunately it's thought that this type of asexual breeding weakens the genepool immensely. In the wild if conditions necessitate asexual breeding then things are most likely in trouble for the species in question...Absolute last ditch effort to multiply before extinction sets in or while in captivity. Now after the shark discovery mammals are the only vertebrates (as far as I know) shown to have no evidence of this type of reproduction...so far. Amazing stuff nonetheless...
