Has anyone seen the image where if you stare at an image for long enough, then at the sky, a picture of jesus appears. If no one has ill try and find it, although it may be a picture.

a quick wiki later and as far as i can tell, it's a "motion after effect" that causes the "hallucination."

Motion after effect is exactly what it is - and this is one of the best demonstrations I've ever seen of it. It's also called the Waterfall Effect.

Personally, though, I prefer to reserve the phrase "Waterfall Effect" for the optical illusion in which a visual sensation of flying is achieved by standing next to a large waterfall. This is not an after effect (though it's closely related). The Williams Waterfall in Houston is a great place to see this, but I think any large waterfall that can vertically fill your visual field will work.

Hurt my eyes to watch this, lol.
