Watch if you dare! The notorious Star Wars special in its two-hour pain inducing entirety, that originally aired on CBS in November of 1978, and the network has been trying to recover ever since.

Anyway, amazing to see it up, it surely can't last long, Georgey boy hates it, as it demonstrates that he never had taste, even back then, and that Star Wars would seem to have been a fluke!
Watch it while you can if you can handle the horrendousness of it!
Wow, this makes the three prequels look positively Oscar-worthy.

I own a copy, and it really gets down to watching the first 15 minutes or so....and the last 10, the stuff in the middle is worth one viewing (if you can make it all the way through).
I would say if you're a die hard Star Wars fan there's no way you can miss the first appearance of Boba Fett (this was aired long before Empire Strikes Back) in the cartoon that's shown approximately halfway through. It's fascinating to see the character concept remained basically unchanged and consistent (even down to the voicing)through the rest of the movies. Take a moment to check it out at around 56:00. Also don't miss the Kenner commercial at the end if you collected the toys as a kid.
Thank you for this.
Don't forget, Wookie Pr0n! THE... HORROR...
It feels like star wars was hijacked by the old dr who film crew. what shite.
HA HA - The Jefferson Starship. How appropriate.
From Wikipedia: "In a special preview promoting a Star Wars Robot Chicken special, George Lucas is driven to a therapist's chair over his hatred of the special. The scene was voiced by Lucas himself."
A shiny upvote to the first sifter to find and sift this up!
Check out the "buy union" ad at 42:15.
Yes, I've had this running that long.
OMG - 43:30, "The Bible"... oh dear.

Ah, 56:15 - shortly afterwards the cartoon (a.k.a., only good part about the whole video?) finally kicks on. Enjoy.
Wow, those ads are long. If you want to skip them and get back to the part two of the cartoon, skip to 1:08.
Enjoy.
Love the commentary about the cartoon though:
"While the guards are futzing around the Wookiees' home, Malla takes Lumpy over to a table and sets him up with a pair of yellow headphones. Lumpy looks around to see if anyone is watching him and, when he discovers he is alone, he begins to watch a cartoon. Apparently the Empire has some sort of law against cartoons that we don't know about. If it's such a crime for him to be watching this cartoon, one wonders why Malla decides to allow him to do it, particularly at the exact moment that they are hosting five Imperial officers and stormtroopers in their home."
This is apparently followed by the best, and then worst parts of this fiasco of a production.
