wtf I thought he was jumping over it! He just jumped to the top?? That's just maintaining speed and letting physics do the work. Takes some guts sure, but not much skill involved. The drop was pretty cool I guess, but it seems like a simple stunt overall, nothing to fly to Vegas for. Pretty weak.

This is 10 times better then Robbie Knievel's fake jump over the Mirage volcano the same night. The jump was a legit jump and he should get credit for that....but the hype put out by him and fox jumping the volcano was complete bullshit.

Is that landing sound effect real? Sounds rather bike-breakingly crunchy. The jump up looked fun but the trip down looked crazy scary.

This angle doesn't show it very well, but it really looked like he was going to lose it on the landing. He also took off his left glove after a minute or two to expose a pretty nasty looking gash, which he suspected might be broken. (Not sure how that turned out. Oh, and I think the jump was actually 110 feet, to give about 10 feet clearance over the ~99ft arch before landing.)

It was shot from several angles, including a handlebar cam. This is just a poor selection of replay angles, though I believe these were the shots broadcast live on ESPN as he performed the stunt.
