I didn't see that one before submitting this, but I can't decide if it's a dupe or not -- the other one is edited down and has added Yakkety Sax instead of the original sound. Opinions?
And "pan out"? Really? I know to most non-film types, panning refers to pretty much every camera movement ever, but you'd think that a broadcasting professional would know a little bit more.
So I'm picking up — just reading between the lines here — that the general consensus is that the commentary on this video is slightly substandard for a news channel.
I have an unnatural love for police chases. Maybe it's perfectly natural, like when you watch a lion take down a zebra. Usually if you look in the background, there's a mass of other zebras watching it go down.

Edit: OK, Sorry - My Bad - Not a Dupe!
FUCKING REALLY!?!?!!
This is a primer on why news anchors are some of the world's most leading idiots.
...and there was me thinking that if only this had Yakety Sax playing in the background...
I can't think of any video I've ever seen on the Sift that couldn't benefit from Yakety Sax.
Here's the first (By a long shot): http://www.videosift.com/video/Mustang-Spin-Police-Chase
Yeah something about their tone. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the anchors are empathizing more than they'd like to admit.
WTF!?!?!
"...you can take a look (where?) on the left hand side of your screen there (no, still not seeing it) in the box (ooh, -there- it is) you can see..."
BTW, I love the commentary. "Oh! She's turning!... Now she's going backwards! And she turns. Turns again... Turning around...."
But my favorite: "These are service streets she's on now, so let's be very careful how we watch this."
Uhhh... WHAT!?!?
She probably stopped a couple of times to ask for directions.
[EDIT]
That was sarcasm, btw.
"We're on the surface streets now, so let's be careful as we watch this"
WTF!?!?!
Maybe they were concerned that the driver might put one of their eyes out?
Jeez, it's like watching a skiddish sheep zig-zagging its way out of the barn.
