hmmm a snowblower only good for snowfall in excess of 15 feet. not sure its practical.

~:20 in, this seems quite practical from the real world pictures. practical for parts of the world that get a lot of snow and use trains. indeed, you can be sure. and lo, the snow shall be blowneth. well not so much blown as ingested and moved out of the way in a blowing motion.

Yes and you can walk right up and touch one here in Alaska. Dag and I and our broodlings did climbeth uponeth one in 2005.

Yes I would say its practically useless for areas without snow, or where trains are not used. Without snow, it would probably just lower the gas mileage of trains. Without trains, it would just be a gigantically fucking heavy blade thing laying about the place, perhaps buried in deep snow.

What I would like to see is the processing of a moose in this fashion, since hundreds of them meet their fate on Alaskan railroads each year. Meet their fate: meat, their fate. Haiku, if you must:

Deep snow on the tracks
Diesel Powered Blades Swinging
Chopped Moose Meat Soaring

^ Moose Processing train is a great idea. Maybe it could chop the moose and then send it through a chute and into sausage casings. Don't know if moose sausages with fur and bones in them would be that great. Dogs would love them.

I had a similar idea for here in Australia. Everybody drives around with "roo bars" on the front of their vehicles to stop roo damage to your car on roo impact. My idea is to have big skewers on the bars. You could skewer your dinner on the way home.

We had roo steak a couple of weeks ago. Not bad - but a bit gamey, and full of blood. Very damn healthy for you though - like moose.
