Michio Kaku on Aliens, Hyperspace & the Multiverse

On one of my many searches for alien concept, I found this.

Not long, but pretty long...

from original video description: Michio Kaku discusses the difficulty in making contact with alien life as well as what that alien life may resemble before tying in higher dimensional theory and the concept of a "multiverse" as opposed to the universe as we know it.

This is relevant to my interests.

Its seems to me that if there were a creator, he or she (it) has a very good grasp of object oriented programming.

However, there still seems to be some issues with the Exception catching.

Ok, so how do we communicate with something in another dimension? Some one get on this quick! I must know!

I would use gravity waves. It may be the only type of energy that can travel across all of them. However we are still far from building good detectors.

I was thinking the other day about this. I think our reality is closer to "the matrix" than people realize. We may be entirely be inside a quantum computer which is seeking "something" (I do not know what). I am guessing this because it seem too strange to me that the universe behave in such a nice mathematical way and it is seeking every possible outcome. To be honest it sounds like something a programmer would do to seek the perfect answer for a particular problem.

The universe looks very grandiose to us to be so, but it may be because we are so undeveloped. May be for super intelligent creatures this is nothing more than a screensaver.

Of course if the universe was a computer simulation then we run in to some problems.

What if the civilization in the simulated universe develop enough technology to run their own simulation? Thats going to put a major load on the computational abilities of whatever computing device is running the simulation.

What if the simulated civilization being run by the civilization in the simulation being run by the civilization in reality progresses far enough to simulate their own universe?

I'm thinking a multiversal BSOD is inevitable.
