The highpoint of Douglas' career IMO, Falling Down rocks.. I'd call politics and comedy tags here if I had the power. I can so sympathize with his character in this movie, but this scene is one of those that attacks the little guy, I mean this shop-owner probably buys his soda for more than the big chains can sell it for, which is why his prices are high, What annoys me is like our gas-stations, which are all super-organized, they probably get their sodas cheap as hell, yet the consumer price is double that of grocery stores..*looking around for something baseballbat-shaped*

BRM, in line with your comments, I've found from my experience the Soda companies are to really blame - they charge as much as they can. Note the sneaky change from 24 packs to 20's; the price went down but the per unit no doubt worked out to their favour. Blessings be to Cott Cola and the other 3rd party soft drink makers that make slightly-less-over-priced sugar-water.

Come to think of it, in large part thanks to the Cola/sugar vid on the Sift, I've been drinking progressively less pop and super-sugar-juice drinks lately. I could probably cut back further, but cold turkey sucks... plus it does taste good...

Krupo knows waaaaay too much about soda...

I think there's too much emphasis being made about the cola. This scene is not about the cola.
People will pay any amount of money for anything, if they're treated right.
