MacGyver? Yes, he was fun... I loved his hair back then. Cool? Maybe. If you compared the show to Riptide.

Now Lt. Castillo? HE was cool. Also those cinematic shots they'd do over the side of the car at night with Phil Collins playing? Cool

Uhm, I think swampgirl meant Miami Vice was "cool" as-in "hip." MacGyver wasn't cool as in hip, he was "cool" as-in "gee whiz"... Big difference.
