Announced today, this is the new Chevrolet Caprice cop car. Under the hood, GM says the Caprice will have a 6.0-liter LS2 (Corvette) V8 engine rated at an estimated 355 HP and 384 lb-ft of torque mated to a six-speed auto transmission. There will not be a civilian version for sale, unfortunately, but the upside of that is that if you ever see one it's guaranteed to be a cop car, unlike the Ford Crown Victoria, half of which are driven by the blue rinse brigade.
