To preview its upcoming series "Episodes" where former friends star Matt LeBlanc plays himself, Showtime put together this very funny teaser video showing LeBlanc being forced to audition for the role...

So wait, is the premise they stated in the clip the actual premise of the show? If so, kudos to Matt for not taking himself so seriously... strangely enough makes me think much higher of him than I do a number of douchebags like Tom Cruise or such who act like they are god's gift to man.

It's ironic that this show is to portray a bad americanization of a UK sitcom, when it sounds like they stole everything from the second season of "Extras"(as well as Curb and Entourage). The fact that this "trailer" sucked and was a predictable, boring copy of shows like Extras, does nothing to dampen the irony.

Reminds me of a story Lewis Black tells about having a character created for him, based on him, named "Lewis" and then not getting the part because they found someone more "Lewis Black" than him. I think it's in his book Nothing Sacred.
