youtube: "Correspondent Lisa Ling goes undercover to private fields and indoor state of the art hydroponic farms talking to the very reasonable and resolute people who will not buckle under possible legal ramifications. The movement to end the draconian punishments for possession and growing increase every day, as the population is getting older and sicker, insurance is harder to obtain and pay for and who refuse to be held hostage by Big pharmaceutical companies gouging consumers for legal alternatives."

I bet half of those soldiers they got in there, are smoking the shit too.

Fucking hypocrisy.

Covert hike?

Bullshit, you already gave away your intentions by flying over the garden. You are already dynamic, so might as well roll in there in force.

If you're talking about the guys at the beginning, I don't see much hypocrisy. They aren't there because "weed is evil", they're there because people are clearing public forests (environmental damage) and then guarding their plots with weapons.

I'm all for weed legalization, but I'm very much again destruction of national forests... plus I'd like to go hiking without getting shot.

Agreed. Weed is good, but use your own damn property if you're going to grow it. Don't impose on everyone else's rights to use public land.

The problem here is that my tax dollars are being spent (and these men's lives are being risked!) for a substance that simply really shouldn't even be illegal.

We have created this kind of criminal activity for ourselves... by criminalizing the substance itself. Which is messed up, because it is a pretty widely accepted fact that pot is no more dangerous than alcohol is. (Heck, it even has a medicinal use, which cannot really be said of booze.) Which is not to say that it cannot be abused, but we are causing far more problems for ourselves by keeping it illegal.

You would think that someone had LEARNED something from the Prohibition.

She seemed to be pretty innocent when it came to pot, but I wonder how she got so much access without smoking? Pot heads that I know are suspicious or exclusionary of people who don't smoke. Maybe things are different on the West Coast.

Or maybe it's because she's got such nice hair.

Marijuana grown indoors is a huge burden on the environment too (due to the enormous energy cost of replicating outdoor conditions), especially when it could quite easily be grown outdoors.

The laws that make marijuana illegal are a crime against the world.

Ok, check it out -- like this one time, I smoked some pot. And I asked my friend, like, "Hey, um, we got any Floyd?" and my friend was all, "Naw, dude, all I got is some Tool and Houses of the Holy by AC/DC" and I was all, "Wait, what? Dude, Houses of the Holy hella ain't by AC/DC, um, it's like by Nirvana or some shit like that."

dude, I was -HELLA- high. I was so fucking wasted I thought Houses of the Holy was by Nirvana. Shit, that was some bake-oid weed, my man!

And that's why I believe the prohibition on marijuana should be repealed. Thank you for your time, Senators.
