In other news, look at all the probie voters. It's like the next incarnation of Jake Shimabukuro has arrived.
Great model too.
sorry. Hope noone got personally offended.
Me, I'm more disturbed about a video seemingly suggesting a girl getting gang raped by shaped pillows.
Hey rocket scientist - it's a song about heroin addiction... not gang rape. Glad to see you paid attention before giving your seemingly insightful comment.
sock puppets at work.
and in addition to the already mentioned.. in my experience this normally wouldn't get as many votes as it has.
i would hate to see the sift become a viral shithouse.
i was suspicious of all those sia videos that got sifted recently too.
first of all - Dag - fairplay for saying that u were emailed by the video creator. can i ask - why did they email you?
second of all - this band is actively telling its fans to come to videosift and upvote the video. here's an example from their myspace:
Hey we really need your help!!! Our first music video was just released and has been making a lot of noise due to the fact that no video cameras were used in making this video. It was all done on a still shot HD camera...over 45,000 still shots...So please click the link below and vote for our video! It would mean so much to us! Much Love!

overall, i'm not sure if any rule breaking is going on here.. but i don't think the high vote score gives a true representation of the video sift quality control process. for example, an eyeball estimate of probie voters is about 80%.
i really don't want videosift to go in this direction. can anyone else throw an amen at that for me? what about members who have been around the sift longer than i have (bout 2/3 years) - what do u think?
but it stops working when most of the people voting have been solicited to vote for a particular video.
hmm.. ok.. so that's my problem. here's my solution: introduce voting restrictions, or weighted voting for probies. for example, a probie vote is woth 50% of a gold star vote.

Some nice photos but not not really a satisfactory animation and indeed just standard poprock.

yeah. agreed. Lyckans Undulat is a much better sift. i wonder if i'd mind so much about the probie stuff if this was actually good quality / something i liked???
and the singer is my brother.(just kidding). No, we encourage people to email us if they have something that they think would do well here - it's in the FAQ.Not bothered myself but a pointless activity. I'd work on improving the music first.
And the music is not interesting. Bands shouldn't be railing against drugs, they should be ingesting them before they enter the recording studio.
Downvote for both of those reasons.
Lame song. Downvote for that reason and the artificially inflated nature of the vote count.
