As far as I'm concerned, they both lose. The reporter doesn't call McCain on any of his half-truths, and McCain sounds like he has no idea what he's talking about in responding to predictable questions.

I like how the journalist ends it by implying that he is allowing McCain to end his spiel on a positive note - 'You know what? I'm going to let you have that one...' Now that's power.

I'd like to see an interview where the Pol answers the question that was asked - not a longwinded response which inevitably ends in a drumbeat of talking points.
