Umm, except the KKK was rejected and crushed by American society, and it's tenets were never believed by anywhere near a majority of the population. Islamic terrorists are routinely supported on state television throughout the middle east.

I somewhat agree with both of you. Yes, Islamic terrorists have the front page right now. The KKK is still alive and kicking..not socially acceptable anymore, but it's still around. Obviously hate between races has not been "crushed" by anyone yet.

They both have a common denominator... hatred. It's all the same to me.

i think if a race of people all act in a sertain way then maby not liking a race of people for something negitve thay are doing is not a bad thing. however i think due to the size of anny given race of people it is not the most eficent and logical way to look at a problem and try to sort it out. besides why be racist when u can creat a far better catagory lets call it the (uninformed iroational ilogical and unresnable group) this should cover pritty mutch all people that need to change there atitude if thay want to live in a modern non voilent constructive soucity.

having saying that though maby its better that we live in a voiloent soucity the world cannot suport us as it is with curent human inablity to harniss nature and resources to suport everyone so maby a few hundred million dead would go along way to exstending the life of the human race and its likly the humans with the best technoligy will win this masica and last longest. do do do im gona hide under the sea with all my troll fead iv acumilated over last few weeks taa swamp girl

David Duke, a former KKK Grand Wizard, served as a state representive for my district in 1989. He ran for Senate in 1990 and lost. In 1991 he ran for governor and lost. At the time there was a bumper sticker “Vote for the crook. It’s important.” (the “crook” being the former Governor of Louisiana, Edwin Edwards)

Duke continues to make trips to Europe to push his views.

All very true points Swampgirl, but it's also important to highlight the similarities as well as a very important distinction.

Such as, Islamic terrorists and white supremacists are both made up of poor and uneducated people, both believe in an extreme versions of their religion, both believe that outsiders are the ones keeping them down and oppressed, both praise intolerance, and left to their own devices the Islamists would kill anyone who is not Muslim, and then they will turn on and kill other fellow Muslims who are not Muslim enough for them. The same with the white supremacists with christians respectivily.

The difference with the white supremacists in America is that they are held in check by law enforcement. While we are still a free society, they are free to believe as they wish but as soon as they cross the line of the law, the authorities will come down on them. Unlike Islamic terrorists, they are NOT held in check by the authorities, in fact in most of their native countries, they ARE the authority and supported and funded by the state (ex. Taliban, Al Qaeda, Hezbellah, Hamas etc.)

It is everyones right to belong to any group as unethical as it may be, if their existence is not dedicated to destruction of the government/constitution of the united states.
This is why groups like the KKK and Nazis are able to operate in the US while other groups like Al Qaeda aren't in the US. They all preach hate but the KKK doesn't want to destroy the US just make it into Cold War South Africa.
I wish no group in the US that is hate or destructive could exist in the US but who defines hate or destructive?
