Paybacksays...

For those who don't know, Legion is Professor X's son in the comics. He has dissociative personality disorder (multiple personalities) about 1000 of them, and the cool thing is every last one of them has a different mutant power.

ChaosEnginesays...

Agreed, looks interesting.

Is Agents of Shield any good? I watched the first few episodes and wasn't blown away, and I've seen some pretty poor reviews since.

Daredevil and Jessica Jones were fantastic though.

Man, Marvel is just killing it between the movies, the Netflix Original shows, and Agents of Shield. This looks like it will be great.

articiansays...

I've only heard bad things about Agents of Shield. Last I heard, they were doing drastic things that made it successfully mediocre.

I get wary of franchises that see success. I expect them to eventually cave to pandering, pathetic tropes. Present Marvel universe included, as their recent films have just... meh.

moonsammysays...

Agents of SHIELD had a somewhat weak start, though decent. Season 2 was an improvement on 1, and season 3 was excellent in my opinion. So far it doesn't connect too directly to what happens in the films, but does seem to be doing a lot of legwork to set up for one of the future movies. If you like super hero stuff in general, it's worth a watch.

Note that Legion won't have any connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Avengers, Dr Strange, SHIELD, Daredevil, etc), as it is part of the Fox / X-Men universe instead. I've no idea if Fox will tie it to their film franchise, though I'd assume it would be pretty minimal as this appears to be set in our current era vs the films right now being a few decades back.

Paybacksays...

From what I've read, it doesn't even take place in THAT setup. They won't be tied to any movie or other series.
