That phrasing is SO WHACK, even if you're doing a parody about being a black nerd. It is NEVER OKAY to talk like Yoda in order to make something rhyme. Not even if you're trying to be funny. Just don't do it.

In Gradius3, it's up, up, down, down, L, R, L, R, B, A (left, right, etc destroys the ship).
the version of the code that most people are familiar with tho is from Contra, which uses Start to 'enter' the code, iirc. been a long time, so not completely sure about that, but it's how it's burned into my brain...
