I wonder if McCain used the POW card as much as he does now to keep his senate seat back then. I still find it odd that the two senators who's political careers survived were a POW and an Astronaut, as if something so, and pardon the expression, GIMMICKY, is all it takes to save your career (all due respect to former POWs and Astronauts). That certainly wouldn't say much for the people of Arizona who re-elected him in the face of all the corruption he was involved with back then...
