Stumble ThisJoe McCain - Johns brother - called 911 because traffic was too slow. He then told the 911 operator to fuck off and hung up. The 911 operator called back and got his Voice Mail - including his name.

I've always kind of felt those people who tied up 911 for this sort of thing were among the very shallowest in the gene pool... and while i think this has no barring on John McCain... I do find it absolutely hilarious and a fantastic way to start my morning.. thanks!
... his wikipedia says 'stage actor, newspaper reporter'; apparently hes a newspaper reporter that doesn't know to call the local police department number instead of 911 for non-emergencies. (dial 411, or free 1-800-GOOG-411 to get a local police department number while on the road)

In Anchorage, I know that absolutely doesn't work. I use GOOG-411 for everything, so when I called to report that several lights were out on a major road in town with no maintenance crews around, no power outage, and no other obvious problem, I was met with at least 12 different numbers for the PD. When I went through the addresses and picked the one I thought was best, I got their fax number.
On the other hand, why in the world is this actually news? There are plenty of asshats that call 911 all the time for various stupid reasons. None of them have made the news, and very, very few of them made the "Top 10 911 calls of this year" list that various networks have. Just because the McCains share parents doesn't make this anything special.

I'm assuming its because the Obama campaign sees this as a non-issue (and rightly so, I might add.) They can let the McCain campaign burn on its own, no need to fan the flames.
