Seriously, what the Daily show has been attacking as of late is softball journalism. The comedians, by making social commentary and making good points along the way, have in essence become the watchdog for the media since the media has failed so miserably in the past few years.
Apparently, Jim is going to be on TDS Thursday night, and I heard rumour that Stewart is having another go on tonights show. Get the popcorn ready!
To compare the two is idiotic!
At least the Cramer guy is going "Well, he's a comic, what d'ya want?"
Hmm. Apparently John did in fact stick his neck out to have a debate without his 100 person staff behind him.
The way they say "comedian" is pretty degrading. Sadly, I think if not for them, I'd be really depressed every time I turned on the TV.
Seriouly, what a fucking moron. Does Jon Stewart (or more appropriately in this example) Comedy Central hold himself up as an "expert"? All the networks have their experts and bill it as "If you want the best financial advice, get the real deal from our expert (insert name here)."

Exactly. Cramer's comeback is "Well I don't see Stewart giving any financial advice". Well Stewart never claimed to. You're the one who's advice has been harmful to people and harmful to the economy.
And they complain about Jon using people's own words against them? As if that's somehow out of bounds? As if he's stalking them "24 hours a day" and using things out of context? No, it's clips from your freaking television shows broadcast to millions of people. Don't complain that someone calls you on your hypocrisy.
He tried to defend his calls by claiming that all stocks went down, and that he also told people to sell everything. I have a few responses to this: (1) his call to "sell everything" was extremely late, and was only made after every Joe Six Pack out there had already figured out by himself that Cramer was full of shit; (2) one should never recommend the general public to BUY BUY BUY while the prices are dropping like a rock; (3) his stock picks aren't mere underperformers -- they went bankrupt or are worth cents on the dollar.
Make no mistake: Jim Cramer is a crook.
Wait a minute......
Joe would have to cease being an unoriginal, humorless, elitist prick to do that.
Hardly possible with people like Chris Mathews and Keith Uberass. Perhaps the poster didn't realize that cNBC and msNBC have the same parent network: NBC. MSNBC has a huch more liberal slant than FOX. This would be evident by viewing the abundant posts here from career-posters supported by the Daily Kos-tic.
