After reviewing the "quintessentially British" German made Mini, Jeremy mocks German car makers. He got into a bit of trouble for this.

Ah yes. Well the teaspoons demanded a response. Sad that Clackson had to resort to the stereotypical english-making-fun-of-germans topic though. I thought that Fawlty Towers episode ("Ze Germans are comink! Don't talk about the war!") was already flogging a dead horse.

Funny thing about SatNav in germany wrt poland though: At least one major car leaser in germany installs GPS units in their higher class cars. If the GPS detects the car is within two kilometers of the german-polish border, the unit sends a signal to kill the engine.

So Clarkson wasn't too far off topic, he just should have changed the angle a bit.
