It took Ray Harryhausen 4 months to produce the skeleton scene, a massive amount of time for a scene which lasts at the most 3 minutes.

A brief scene was cut from the skeleton fight where the decapitated skeleton is seen feeling around for its head.

We watched this in my Latin class. We laughed so hard at the cheesiness of the whole movie, but we still really liked it. A lot more than Ben-Hur.

Harryhausen was definitely a master. The time that goes into animating one second's worth of film is mind-boggling.

This is the one with the gaint octopus at the bottom of the pit under a bridge... the top of said pit inhabited by... spiderwebs/spiders, yes?

That image haunts me to this day, wherever it's from. I feel like I saw it in this movie on TBS. It wasn't Clash of The Titans, although that was great as well...
