From Gizmodo: Your goldfish may never truly be free, but if you had one of these infinity aquariums you can trick them into thinking they are thanks to a design that "loops the fish around in an infinite tunnel of water and glass." It's like a mini fortress of solitude for your little underwater friends—giving them a life precious semi-freedom before you unceremoniously flush them down the toilet.

Why does no one tell me when I misspell aquarium in the title?
Because we're dumb too. So, go fix it already!!

Thank you for your email. We can't tell you how long the fish would live
in the Infinity Aquarium, as the prototype we've made is only a couple of
months old.
What we can tell you is that the first prototype was made after months of
research - we've read lots of online material and consulted professionals
(including the guy who built the piece itself, who's building aquariums
for more than 20 years). Further, after receiving the prototype we let the
fish swim in it for a couple of weeks, to see how they do; though they
didn't start talking and telling us how they feel, the fish seemed to
behave as they normally do - they didn't necessarily swim around in
circles, but they go everywhere and don't show any sign of stress. The top
of the Infinity Aquarium is a lid which allows enough air to reach the
surface. Though it might look very complex, it is actually not at all hard
to clean (you can easily reach every corner by hand).
Anyways, the future pieces, which we plan on offering for sale, are going
to have an internal-filter and oxygen pump, which will make maintenance
even easier, and make the living conditions nicer for the fish - the
reason we shot the pictures in a clean aquarium was to give a clean image
of the form..."
