Incredible Basketball Phenom

This kid is amazing. Not only is he coordinated but apparently his V02 maximum is off the charts. He's 11 years old and runs a 4:50 mile.

Call me jealous jones, but doesn't increased oxygen intake mean faster oxydization of cells/DNA as well? Meaning his cells deteriorate faster?

Or are his cells so active that they can repair the damage quicker than they get damaged?

^Increased efficiency. He only needs the same amount of oxygen as we do. He's just able to take in enough even while he's exerting himself. When I do sprints, I quickly reach a point where I can't get enough oxygen to keep up the pace.

Also, "Women have small brains; brains a third the size of [men]. It's science."

Will he loose any ability, you know, through growing up? Slower metabolism maybe?

Unfortunately he'll be like the rest of us, find weed, contentment in mediocrity and decide middle management might not be such a bad thing.

kids got a bright future, unless he dies in a fucking car accident or something of the like. cest la vie. call me bitter, but i wouldn't be surprised.

The basketball skills are not nearly as impressive as the 4:50 mile. A mile time like that is fairly competitive at a high school level. He only needs to shave a min off that time and he can compete at a college level. Given he's 11 it’s safe to say he should have time to accomplish that in 6 to 7 years.

no they're hearts become more efficient. Meaning while they're resting it beats even slower and while they're exercising it's closer to the pace of our cholesterol clogged blood pumps
