A bill (Kenan Thompson) and an executive order (Bobby Moynihan) explain how government really works with a little help from President Obama (Jay Pharaoh).

What Obama did was disgraceful. A few hundred or few thousand is one thing but 5 million is reprehensible. That's 5 million less jobs for the poor. Tomorrow their children grow up and take your job. That boarders on treason.

I didn't intend to, but watched the whole video. So funny.

Reminds me of something the comedian Doug Stanhope said once, i'll paraphrase from memory: "If you lose your job to an illegal alien with no training or education who doesn't even speak our language... then your job sucks."

That was the greatest thing I've seen in a while. I'm still LingOL!

I also find it interesting following how the perspective on this story is pitched in the media. It seems since the Republicans won the Senate, the slant has shifted to a more Republican viewpoint that it's executive over-reach.

The more logical conclusion is, it's a temporary stop-gap which could presumably just as easily be overturned by a potential Republican president next term and should be an incentive for actual long-lasting reform to be undertaken that supersedes it.

Instead, apparently the irony of a grid-locked legislative criticizing the executive branch for actually passing needed reform is actually lost on everyone.

Did you shout how it was treasonous when Regan did it in 86 for 3million?
Or do you think that was different somehow (maybe just because 'Saint Regan')?

And do you not understand these people are all already here working, so they won't be takin' anyone's jerb? Because they are. Now they'll just be paying taxes, so you'll pay less, and they are not getting full access to services (like Social Security) for it. How are you not on board with that?!
I will say, I wish their culture would change from large families to two child or less families...but that's a completely different issue.

I was disappointed how they seemed to now be saying that suddenly the Republicans are on the side of 'following the rules' and not on the side of using any tactic that works to further your agenda, no matter how sneaky or underhanded. (by having the 'bill' say 'we're going to sue you', it implied to me that he's a republican...not a piece of legislation). That's why I can't upvote, that's just disingenuous, unless things have changed in the last week.
I was also disappointed that everyone is up in arms about this order...it will likely barely be implemented before the next election because of legal challenges, (edit: or possibly, but unlikely, because the congress actually acts itself and creates a different law superseding the order) If the next president is a Republican, he (or she) will probably simply void it day one. That's the thing about executive orders, they are at the whim of the CURRENT president and easily removed...but they are also actual law and are used by both parties to bypass gridlock in congress, at least temporarily.

Ronald Reagan signed a sweeping immigration reform bill into law. Emperor Obama didn't.

On one hand the president was engaged with the house and senate and the other president just figuratively said fuck you to the house and senate.

Also, remember the Democrats had all 3 branches for the first 2 years and the Obama campaign was to make immigration reform as one of his key addenda items once elected.

Finally if an illegal alien is already here working ( paying taxes ect) by very definition they ARE taking an American job.

Re-read your complaint. It was 100% about the immigrants, not the legality or method of amnesty, silly name calling not withstanding.
EDIT: Remember, Regan and his party removed basically everything in his law except the amnesty, like going after businesses that hire illegals and securing the border.
It's perfectly reasonable to say 'fuck you' back to the people who've said 'fuck you' to you for 6 years, no?
Yes, the democrats failed miserably.
Yes, an American job, not an American's job. You see the difference I hope.
