You don't need to be in the 90's to be able to use dialup. I'm sure if you get an old modem and the right connection you can hook up a dialup even today.

i don't think you could watch a youtube vid via modem. typically they are 5MB/minute, and modems were more like 1MB/5min

I didn't even try to start playing this video until it had completely loaded, would have had to buffer about 30 times if I had tried. And I'm on broadband. And yeah, though we didn't have youtube in those days I remember how horrible Real was. And speaking of crappy streaming video systems, does anyone remember vivo? =)

And noticed that the kitty video is from a Finnish user. Didn't expect that.

I was excited when I got my 33.6 - but boy was I relieved to get my 56 modem!
