and maybe a little bit of scotch.
When a man or woman can no longer relate to anything in the world around themselves, the isolation is overwhelming. It is an easy road to go from that point to suicide, but a much further road to a shotgun to the face.
How did such a genius come to have no one near him that could understand that desperation?
He killed himself not so much because of depression, but because his body and brain were letting him down.. would have been a very conscious decision for him, and a decision he would have made a long tome ago.
At least I won't go as far as feeling sorry for Hunter - he himself said once that he'd go crazy if he didn't know he can end his life at any given point and I like to believe that's what keeps me going as well...
Geeze, angry at the world much? Really, what pain and suffering has Conan ever brought down upon you to make you so bitter towards the man. To my way of thinking he does a job that makes people happy. I see no great social or criminal injustice that he's forcing upong the world.

Which was a sad statement from him, and from you (although I do get that it's kind of more about having the free choice to do so). That you feel like you can only face things with the thought that if it gets too hard you can just top yourself.
That's just sad. (I mean that in the actual, that makes me sad way, not the condescending manner of something being pathetic)

I know that's the basic story, and I don't completely discount it, but I don't think it tells the whole tale. I mean, Hunter would have had access to whatever drugs he wanted and could very easily taken himself out in a much more pleasant fashion. Just a thought.
kulpims has issues
yeah, unfortunately I do. but then - who doesn't. i do feel like a jerk for that crazy outburst if that helps
i don't know what ticked me off so much, i guess talking but suicide always makes me a bit uneasy; cause of some bad experieces from my past that i wish i'd forget already...
