Apparently, this song was written and storyboarded for the original movie but left out. THen when the script was adapted for stage, Mencken blocked and directed it. For the 15th anniversary, Disney decided to animate it as Alan had directed/blocked and put it back in the movie. First time for them - adding to a movie after release instad of deleting!
