Hmm. Funny maybe, and of course the person shouldn't have had their phone on, but it's the job of the front of house staff to police the audience, not the cast. Jackman's there to perform and he should be professional enough to work through it.
Regardless, being at the performance where this occurs is worth more than the ticket price. An out of the ordinary experience trumps contrivance. Or maybe that's just me.
