They should have some sort of preventive measure for keeping ice from forming. (pump hot water through tube up structure?)
who is going to invest that much money in a radio tower to prevent this from happening once every 10 years?
oh and car insurance should cover this.

We had a horrible ice storm in the 70's. A girl I knew got hit by a falling branch while walking in from her car and sustained major head injuries.

what about the TV station taking responsibility for creating the gigantic hazard? Look at it this way: if that TV tower didn't exist, would giant chunks of ice be falling there?
Or you could just be aware of your environment and take a little personal responsibility.
FWIW my mom spent 4 years campaigning against a huge radio tower in my home town. I basically just wanted her to STFU the whole time, because, come on mom, it's going up no matter how much noise you make.
I fall on my knees before our corporate masters, and beg forgiveness. I have seen the light. We all need to take greater personal responsibility, because it makes it easier for our great multi-national owners to shirk theirs in the name of profit.
