The last big scene with the battle raging in the streets was awesome. One long shot... amazing.

Its funny how thay make everything out to be so complex in cinima with everyone tooting there own horn. if you think about it almost every computer game that comes out has multiple versoins of its own specail car rig. with programmers and designers having to come up with new ideas and abstract methods for carrying things out u just dont have the people jerking themselfs of over it.

still i did like the shots and the film setting. however i found plot a bit tedouse and unintresting. i dont think the film was as profound as it would have like to have been and i dont think the shots contrabuted as mutch as some people may think .

Was this shot on digital video then? Didn't look like a film camera.

It's a film camera, it is just a very small Arriflex camera with a 400' load of film, the smallest 1-piece 35mm film camera made.

It was a decent movie. The cinematography was great, the action was exciting, the storyline was edgy and not predictable, and the movie asked some hard questions about the future. But... it still was only enough for me to want to see it once. I guess I would recommend it to someone who wants to see a good action movie this year and it will probably win awards too.

Just to qualify that statement, not many movies make it into my list of repeat views.

I just rented this movie last week. I thought it was worth seeing, but not as good as it was hyped up to be. I did comment to myself during the movie that the scenes were continuous without cuts. I especially liked the last scene in the movie, it was probably about 10 minutes of action without a cut.

What I didn't like (and they didn't explain) about the move was why everyone was at war with one another. If the population became unable to re-produce, I doubt the world would fall apart and go to war. The last thing we need to do is kill ourselves off faster if we can't re-produce.

The movie showed that different people respond to a total loss of hope in the future in different ways. Clive Owen's character started as the kind who just wanted to continue working, pretend things are OK. Julianne Moore's character thought the world could still be saved. Danny Huston'a character didn't care about people, just trying to save art. And, Chiwetel Ejiofor's character was a "true believer" who didn't are who got hurt.

You and I might not kill ourselves or anyone else when faced with the end of the human race. But other would, and it doesn't take a huge number of those people to make the world a horrible place for the rest of us.

I wuv this movie. I wish they'd explain what happened to the blood splatter on the camera lens that magically disappears during the long street battle sequence. ;-P
