I think this is a dupe. At the very least, I know several of the individual clips are here (shooting range with 50 cal, girl getting smacked in the head), though that wouldn't count unless they are all here, which they might be. Anyone care to hunt it/them down?

The last clip is a priceless way to end it.

No, I'm not that fat....yet.
Whywho, all these people deserved it because they obviously have no clue how to wield a weapon. Especially that girl at the end. She was actually leaning away from the weapon!

I'd like to see most of the people in here try and hold onto that rifle the people (and Arabs) keep dropping at the indoor rifle range... It's like .557 cal.

Bunch of stupid idiots. The cops were the worst ones. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER WHEN NOT GETTING READY TO SHOOT.

I'm surprised none of these people didn't have to leave the show in a bag.

Guns, knives they are tools but they are dangerous in the hands of the inexperienced.

Another tip for the ones with guns in their houses, keep the ammo in a different room than you keep the guns in, and don't keep them loaded. If you are paranoid you don't need a gun you need help.

I figured many/most of the people just didn't know how to hold a gun/rifle, but the kickback in some of those clips looked especially powerful. That last clip... yikes.

The kick only looks bad because of improper handling. Very few weapons have a kick that is difficult to control (for some people - if you know what you're doing it's not a problem) - mainly a 12 gauge shotgun or something like a 30-.06. While it'll make for a sore shoulder, it's easily controlled if you just fire it properly. The girl in that last clip was just doing it as wrong as she could.

WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, I PRESENT TO YOU, MG'S GUIDE TO WEAPONS SAFETY AND SUCCESSFUL SHOOTING.

Weapons safety rules:
1)Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
2)Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.
3)Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you intend to fire.
4)Keep your weapon on safe until you are ready to fire.
5)Know your target and what lies beyond. It may be fun to shoot at cans on a fence rail, but there may be someone several hundred meters behind it that you didn't see.

DO:
  • Place the butt of the weapon into your shoulder
  • Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the weapon.
  • With your forward hand, pull the weapon into your shoulder. This makes for a more steady aim.
  • Put your strong foot behind you
  • Lean into the weapon. Your shoulders should be above your forward foot.
    - (when standing) To make for better weapon stability, square your body to the target. i.e.- Don't face your body to it. Your shoulders should be perpendicular to it. This allows you to rest your forward elbow on your chest and provides a platform for stability.
  • Keep a hunched position.

    DON'T:
Be like any moron in this video.

funny stuff... however I do wanna draw attention to half the clips in this video. The gun the guys in the windowed room are shooting is a huge caliber "elephant" gun. There is no right way to "hold" it without getting that huge kick back.

Do you have any facts to support your case? I won't argue that it probably has a higher kick than most, but those men were also leaning away from the weapon.

Almost all of these were due to improper stance when firing.

thanks for the details jimnms, I looked it up. Elephant gun may be a bad term, or a good one. This is not a HUNTING rifle. This is a stopping riffle. It was designed for hunting tour guides as a last means of defense against charging game. Their accuracy sucks at range obviously but they are ment for when large animals charge you from a short distance.

Also as im sure many gun enthusiast have said already, the clips of the .577 are clearly for comedic value, as it dosnt appear any of them have shot a powerful rifle in their life and have the worst stance ever.

T-Rex? Of course it makes sense now. It's used for dinosaur hunting.

From the Wikipedia page on the .577 T-Rex round:

    "The .577 contains a .585 inch diameter 750-grain (49 g) Monolithic Solid Projectile which when fired moves at 2,460 ft/s (750 m/s) producing 10,180 foot-pounds force (13,800 J) of energy.[1] For comparison the .223 Remington/Nato 5.56mm round used in weapons such as the M16 rifle, when using a 77-grain (5.0 g) projectile, moves at 2,750 ft/s (840 m/s) producing 1,293 foot-pounds force (1,753 J)."

Up here (BC, Canada), We have to take a 2 week course (Hunter Core) before they let us handle the guns (It's been a while - I don't know how the length of this course has changed).

I have to agree with MarineGunrock's list.
I have to emphasize #2: Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.

I teach this to my kids as well, even with a toy gun. Never point a gun, even a toy one, at a person! EVER!

I hate toy guns. To me guns just aren't toys. But dam, every time, I manage to make them go missing, a grand-parent buys them another one.

Also - when we were in our teens, the neighbor kid pointed a pellet gun at our dog, joking, said "I'm gonna shoot ya", then pulled the trigger. His next words were "I didn't know it was loaded". Hit her right in the eye. they needed to stitch the eye over. It was a constant reminder to us all for the next 10 years of the dogs life.
