Helping Canada's Opposition Leader Michael Ignatieff move in

This clip is absolutely hilarious. All patriotic Canadians will immediately upvote and enjoy this clip!

Michael Ignatieff is the leader of Canada's Liberal party, the opposition to the Conservative Harper government. He's moving into Stornoway, which is the home of the leader of the opposition party (like the anti-White House, or in this case, the opposite to 24 Sussex Drive).

He took over leadership of the Liberal party from Stephane Dion who lost to Harper in last October's election and had promised to leave before the spring. Some neat political moves - including that whole affair that led to the pro-roguing of parliament - led to his victory.

After the Canadians who haven't seen this have their chance to enjoy the cameo gag someone will explain the cameo joke to the non-Canadians. It's priceless!

The co-mover who dropped the box with Rick was a gentleman named Bob Rae, who was running for the same position Ignatieff now has. In addition to being a powerful politician in his own right (Premier of our largest province Ontario for 5 years), Rae is a long-time personal friend of Ignatieff's. He gracefully stepped aside to Ignatieff during the run-up to the selection of a leadership replacement for Stephane Dion and ensured a smooth transition even though he was close in second place and had a shot at it himself. So Stornaway would have been his if he'd stayed in the race and won. Him scurrying away like that after wrecking Ignatieff's stuff was friggin' priceless and there's more than one metaphor there.

Not to mention that those two guys, competing for the top job, also happened to be roommates in university.

No wonder they can pull off a gag like that.

Upvote for the Canadian content - and it's funny. I like that Canadian politicians can be seen being candid.
Even drinking a beer from the can... Never saw that from Bush eh!
