Bullets and helicopters may defeat an army, but you will never conquer a people with military might. USA could not beat the Vietnamese, they cannot beat the Iraqis. For claiming to have the best military in the world they sure get their asses handed to them by a lot of third world, donkey cart riding peasants on a regular basis. Better hope the USA never has to actually fight against a real country.

When we left Viet Nam the North was beaten. Even Giap sais that in his book.
Three years after we departed (it Took the North that long the recover) the South did not stop the Northern invasion. When President Nixon went to The Democrat controlled Congress for aid to the South like was promised in the Paris Accords, the Democrats led by Kennedy refused to give them aid. That is why the North defeated the South. It's really too bad they don't teach history in the schools anymore.
Now Kennedy is trying to do it again.
