I got to go see a concert at Disney Hall this past Saturday. They were THE most awesome seats ever! We were in the very center of the SECOND row of the Garden Level, and I felt like I was right on top of the orchestra! We saw Peter Serkin (pianist) play several pieces by Messiaen, and then the Los Angeles Phil performed Beethoven's Eroica Symphony. Brilliant!

On a more serious note, I only found out days after submitting this that, to my shock and dismay, the film director Pollack passed away in his home on Monday (8/26/2008). Rest in peace. :(
