Though I disagree with many of Ron Paul's principles, at least he's a man of convictions. He still hasn't endorsed McCain, and I won't be surprised if he never does. So I offer his blimp video as tribute.

Howie Klein: "One of the least credible of the bloodsucking lobbyists who runs McCain's campaign, Charles Black, is whining that Paul's supporters are getting the could shoulder because Paul hasn't prostrated himself and kissed the ring, promised to be a good boy and stop telling everyone that the idea of endless war in Iraq is a bad idea. That's not likely to happen. Unlike McCain and other Insider political hacks, Paul actually believes in the stuff he talks about.

...

Over 800,000 Republicans voted for Paul so far-- more than for Giuliani or Fred Thompson-- and his campaign raised over $32 million. Many Paul supporters say they are more likely to sit out the November election or vote for Obama than vote for McCain."

You should watch the documentary: "Why We Fight". Oh also.. you disagree with many of Ron Paul's principles? When I see peeps writing this kind of rhetoric, it makes me think that you are essentially stating that you disagree with the most important aspects of his principles:

-Proper checks and balances within our government,
-A solid monetary system (of which several presidents have fought for like Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson and what JFK vowed 4 months before he was killed)
-No watch lists of Constitutional supporters listed as potential terrorists if the Constitution (which many of us have taken an oath to defend when we joined the US Military or Police force) is threatened.

also,
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Anyone would be a fool not to want a man like this as the president. Plus he's not a CFR member. Rockefeller - founder of the CFR stated in his own book "Memoirs" on page 405 that he was working in a cabal towards a New World Order. Maybe this is something you welcome, but I will never vote for a CFR member presidential candidate such as Obama, Clinton or McCain. McCain is not a friend of America.. he's a puppet candidate and this is why the GOP selected him... this is why half of Americans haven't even heard of Ron Paul... The media is suppressing his campain. Now... get out there and vote for your little CFR candidate and pat yourself on the back when our national sovereignty is ripped to shreds. Congrats.

Thanks for the feedback, CP. I'm not saying I disagree with everything he stands for, but there are a few big problems I have with him:

- He opposes abortion rights
- He wants to put us back on the gold standard
- I think taxes should be raised for some people, and especially for corporations
- I believe in gun rights, but not to the extent that he does
- I don't have a problem with congressional pay raises per se, provided they keep in line with the cost-of-living

I also found it REALLY troubling that he didn't return campaign donations from that white supremacist. If any Democrat had not returned money from someone like that they'd never hear the end of it, and rightfully so.

I respect that he actually believes what he says, but I don't respect everything that he believes.

The cost of living?
Currently, members of Congress make about $170,000 dollars a year. That's three and a half times the mean household income for the United States.
In other words, it will be a LONG time before they need another increase to keep with the cost of living.
And I don't he opposes abortion rights. He opposes abortion, but that doesn't mean that he will umm, abolish abortion.

Moving this video to CaptWillard's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 3 days.

I would have voted for Ron Paul, if I could, but can't since I'm not a US citizen. CaptWilliard, I share your concerns except the last one. The fact that he accepted donations from "a white supremacist" doesn't really say anything, in my opinion. The policies of Ron Paul are not affected by that donation and thus it should not have an effect on the voters.

I'm more concerned with his strict Christianity, but it'll be years before there is a president in Washington that don't believe in fairies and pixies, so I've accepted that flaw.

I think that ron paul is just as, if not more, devoted to the constitution as he is the bible. those documents hide where most men would keep their playboys! This being said, his disdain for abortion stems from his years of experience as an OB/GYN. His belief in the constitution is so strong he will put this aside! I'm sure he opposes the use of crystal meth, but he thinks that it is your right as an american to do it!
