All of the military, all of combat, is not on the killing field alone.

Probably 50% of the battle, or more, is fought behind the lines.

There are a lot of gay people who would do just fine on the firing line, but there are a lot of others who excel at getting things done behind that line.

This general is an example of bigotry, and nothing more.
