David Bolinksky spends a few minutes talking about Truth and Beauty in art and science. He talks about his work as an illustrator and animator as a vehicle for revealing the truth and beauty in biology. He goes on to discuss the incredible "micromachines" (proteins) that drive cell functionality, all the while showing gorgeous still images of various cellular structures. Then he shows the piéce-de-resistance, 3 minutes of cellular activity brilliantly animated. Different parts of his work have appeared on the sift before, but had to be removed because Harvard lawyers said so.
