Jónsi & Alex is the new name of the band formerly known as Riceboy Sleeps, composed of Jón Þór “Jónsi” Birgisson of Sigur Rós, and his boyfriend Alex Somers, of Parachutes. They published a picture book in 2006 and released their debut album, Riceboy Sleeps on July 20th, 2009

I heard this album today. It reminded me so much of hearing Brian Eno for the first time.

Too much atmosphere and texture without substance for my taste. The KLF did a good job of atmosphere and bringing substance in and out throughout their "Chill Out" album. I am interested in listening to the rest of this album though, maybe this was a transitional song...
